Who We Are...

We are Wayne and Stacey Miraflor, and for more than 32 years of marriage, travel has been an important part of our life together.

Travel has always been a family affair. We didn't simply tell our children that seeing the world was important—we showed them. Our twins, Jacob and Jada, and our daughter, Scarlett, have grown up traveling with us, experiencing different countries, cultures, histories, and traditions firsthand. Some of our family's greatest memories have been made while traveling together.

Over the years, we have traveled extensively and have years of experience taking other people with us—planning international journeys, navigating airports and rail systems, coordinating hotels and transportation, leading groups from city to city, and introducing travelers to places we have come to know and love.

The Holy Land holds a particularly meaningful place in our story. After more than 30 journeys there, there are few things more rewarding than taking fellow Christians to the lands of the Bible and watching Scripture come alive for them. We read the biblical text in the places where the events happened, helping travelers better understand its geography, history, and cultural context. One of our greatest privileges is watching someone's understanding of Scripture deepen and seeing how that experience strengthens their faith.

In recent years, continued conflict involving Israel and its neighbors has made leading regular pilgrimages more difficult. While the Holy Land will always remain an important part of our ministry, this season encouraged us to temporarily turn more of our attention toward Europe—and from that transition, our European Railtour program was born.

Europe has opened an exciting new chapter for Spirit of Adventure. We love its history, culture, great cities, small villages, traditions, and especially the experience of seeing Europe by rail. Our Railtours allow us to share something we have come to love ourselves—making one beautiful European city our home, traveling by train to remarkable destinations, and experiencing Europe in a way that feels personal and authentic.

Spirit of Adventure Travel Co. grew from a lifetime of experiences like these. 

We consider it our ministry first and our business second. Whether we're opening the Bible together in Jerusalem or riding the rails of Europe, our purpose remains the same: to use our experience to help others see the world with greater understanding and experience it in a meaningful and memorable way.

For our family, travel has been a way of life. Now it is our privilege to put that experience to work for you.
