The Christmas in Europe Rail Tour- Switzerland, France, & Germany

The Christmas in Europe Rail Tour- Switzerland, France, & Germany

The Christmas in Europe Rail Tour- Switzerland, France, & Germany

Our Christmas in Europe Rail Tour is centered in Basel, Switzerland, where we will spend the entire week at the elegant Victoria Hotel. Using Basel as our home base, we travel each day by first-class rail through Switzerland, France, and Germany, exploring six remarkable Christmas market destinations including Basel, Bern, Strasbourg, Colmar, Ribeauvillé, and Freiburg. By hubbing from a single hotel, travelers enjoy a relaxed and comfortable journey without the hassle of packing and changing accommodations every day.

Along the way, we will discover medieval towns adorned with Christmas lights, festive decorations, and lively market squares filled with seasonal music, local traditions, handcrafted gifts, and the aromas of holiday foods and treats. These Christmas markets are far more than modern attractions—they are part of a cherished European tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. Germany's famous Dresden Striezelmarkt, first documented in 1434, is widely regarded as one of the world's oldest Christmas markets, and many of the traditions enjoyed there centuries ago continue to shape Christmas celebrations throughout Europe today.

More than a sightseeing tour, this is an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, flavors, and traditions that have made Christmas in Europe legendary for generations. It is a week of beautiful scenery, festive fellowship, wonderful food, timeless holiday customs, and unforgettable memories—an experience that truly feels like living inside a Christmas snow globe.

The "New Testament Experience" Study Tour

The Christmas in Europe Rail Tour- Switzerland, France, & Germany

The Christmas in Europe Rail Tour- Switzerland, France, & Germany

The New Testament Study Tour is an unforgettable journey through the biblical lands of ancient Asia Minor, located within the modern country of Turkey. Blending the missionary journeys of Paul the Apostle with the powerful message of the Seven Churches of Revelation, this immersive study tour explores the historical, cultural, geographical, and religious setting in which much of the New Testament was written.

Along the way, we will visit some of Turkey's most significant biblical sites, including Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamon, Sardis, Laodicea, Cappadocia, Perga, Iconium, Hierapolis, Colossae, and the Temple of Artemis—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

At the heart of this journey is the conviction that context matters. To understand the meaning of the New Testament, it is essential to understand the world in which it was written. Yet this is more than a study tour—it is also an adventure. In Cappadocia, travelers will have the opportunity to experience one of the world's most spectacular hot-air balloon regions, floating above an extraordinary landscape of volcanic formations and ancient cave dwellings. We will stay in distinctive cave hotels, enjoy the hospitality of the Turkish people, and travel with some of the finest local guides in the country.

Along the way, we will explore the lives and ministries of some of the great figures of the early Christian faith, including Paul the Apostle, Philip the Evangelist, John the Beloved, Mary the Mother of Jesus, Polycarp of Smyrna, and many others who helped shape the story of Christianity. As we walk ancient Roman streets, stand among the ruins of the Seven Churches of Revelation, visit the Cave of Saint Paul, explore the Tomb of Saint John, and examine the geography, archaeology, and history of the first century, the pages of Scripture come alive in remarkable ways.

This is an eye-opening journey into the world of the New Testament—one that deepens understanding, strengthens faith, and creates memories that will last a lifetime.

In the Galilee, we will walk where Jesus taught, preached, and performed many of His miracles. Highlights include Capernaum, often called “Jesus’ own city,” the beautiful excavations of Magdala, and time along the shores of the Sea of Galilee where the Gospels come vividly into focus.
